the program was interrupted by a special news report. A plane had crushed
into the north wing of the World Trade Centre in New York. At first, I
thought that it was only an accident. But as the story went on, planes
crushed into the south wing of the WTC and then the Pentagon. I realized
that it was the terrorists' attack.
It was a terrible night to the Americans and the whole world. No one could
believe that the twin towers fell down. Even Steven Spielberg couldn't make
such a dramatic scene in his films. All the things are so unbelievable!
Now, the US government has locked Bin Laden and the Taliban in Afghanistan
as prime suspects. Military movements are in progress. A war of revenge is
about to begin. Undoubtedly, the terrorists should be punished. But I think
the Bush government should calm down and step back to look at the incident
more clearly.
Once the war has started, a lot of people will be involved. A lot of
innocents will die. A World War will begin. No one can escape once the
bio-weapons are used. Terrorism should be destroyed. But the life of people
and world peace are more important!
The American citizens' slogan is very good. "An eye for an eye, the world
becomes blind." It's no use taking revenge. It will only worsen the
situation. Why can't we try to solve the problem in a wiser and more
peaceful way?
